David M. Winters,
68, of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.

Born Wednesday, October 27, 1943 in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of Mary Focht Winters and the late Howard Winters. He was married on September 10, 1967 to Karen Prior Winters who survives in Lima.

He was the owner of David Winters Tile Co., LTD.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the Allen County Democratic Party, the American Civil Liberties (ACL) and attended St. Paul's AME.

Surviving are: son, Nathan D. Winters of Lima, OH.; daughters, Rachel (Mike) Boyd of Defiance, OH, and Sarah (Tony) Closson of Saint Johns, OH.; a brother, Steven (Wilma) Winters of Lima, OH.; a sister, Lesley (John) King of Las Vegas, NV; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
