Michael L. "Mike" Brennan, 70 of Elida, Ohio died on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima
He was born April 13, 1941 in Springfield, Ohio, to James Brennan and Frances Carnicum Miller who preceded him in death. On June 23, 1962 in Lima he married Judy Wallace and she survives.
Mr Brennan was a member of St. Gerards Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years, where he was a Union Safety Rep. He retired from the Army after 26 years. He is a member of American Legion Post #96, Lima, Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, Knights of Columbus #2661. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was due to be the Grand Marshal of this years Irish Parade. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and golfer. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Surviving are son, Sean Brennan of Lima, three daughters, Colleen (Chad) Pulliam of Oakland, TN, Shannon Brennan and Erin (Ryan Saunders) Brennan both of Lima. Six Grandchildren, Chase Pulliam, Hannah McVicker, Gabe Pulliam, Abby Pulliam Connor Saunders and Madalyn Saunders.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Brennan and a sister, Patricia Brennan.
Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Gerard's Catholic Church with the Father James Szobonya officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, with graveside Military Honors given by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1275 of Lima.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, a Parish Wake Service will follow at 8:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society or St. Gerard's Catholic Church.
